Extra Antivir is a new rogue anti-spyware program - a fake spyware remover, which uses scare tactics to trick the user into purchasing it's "licensed version". Extra Antivir typically enters the system by using the infamous Zlob trojan, exploiting browser security holes. Once inside, it will flood the user with popups and fake system notifications, claiming that his system is infected. It will also try to support this disinformation by providing a falsified system scan report.
Usually this parasite can easily be removed by using SmitfraudFix. Occasionally, however, the manual method is the only possible way. To remove Extra Antivir manually, follow these instructions.
