I am trying to clean up my nephew's computer after he got a bunch of viruses from My Space. I thought I had everything working great but now I have a warning that keeps popping up from AVG saying that Trojan Horse Generic 12NZG has been found and giving me the option to heal it or send it to the vault. I've tried both methods and after the computer just sitting there for a while with no one using it, the same warning pops up again. Is there a reason that AVG hasn't been able to get rid of this thing? I'm running AVG Free version 8.0.175 with the latest updates installed. His OS is XP. The last time I got the warning I went to AVG's website and searched their encyclopedia for this virus and it came back as "not found". How can AVG report a virus that they don't have in their encyclopedia? I tried the AVG forums and they've never heard of this virus. I've also run Malwarebyte's Anti-Malware and Super Anti Spyware Free on the machine and they don't show this virus. I tried doing a Google search but there doesn't seem to be any information out there about this specific virus. Can anyone help me with getting rid of this thing? Any suggestions at all would be appreciated. By the way, Malwarebytes and Super Anti Spyware both found viruses and got rid of them and I get a clean scan every time I have tried these again.
