While pondering what I was going to do, I decided to install HJT Free version, I was then able to see where the prog folder was.
There was in fact an uninstall facility in Add Remove progs, However when ever you try to uninstall the toolbar from hell! it failed.
The resolution was and it was really quite simple once I found the program folder hiding under a different name in the My Programs folder. It was called media tool bar. I over looked it at first.
in this folder was a text file of programming instructions, one of which was obviously related to uninstalling the tool bar. I simply changed the word in the text file next to this programming instruction from NO to YES. and saved the file.
I then went back to add remove progs and the program uninstalled along with all of it's crap quite successfully. I was also directed to a web site to pass comment where they notified they were sorry I was uninstalling their toolbar, I polightly typed than you for your help in the comments box. and then was directed to a thank you page for your response, This page was very obnoxious in the way it stated (Try making a toolbar your self then!) what a stupid and childish comment they made!
They are obviously not expecting too many people to discover how to uninstall the program. It was really very simple and quick to get rid of it. It is quite possible to get rid of many other evil tool bar hijackers in the same way I would imagine, probably worth looking it.
